A Special Edition of Gaming Laptop “Predator” Helios 300 out now
Acer on Wednesday 23 March 2018 announced a bunch of new gaming PCs at its next@acer press conference in New York. At the event, the company unveiled the new premium Chromebook Spin 13, the world’s first 15.6-inch 2-in-1 Chromebook, as well as the beastly Predator Helios 500, among other desktop PCs and accessories that cater to a wide audience. It also revamped the popular Helios 300 notebook and gave it a new limited edition color. And they said that A Special Edition of Gaming Laptop “Predator” Helios 300 out now.
Helios 300 Special Edition Hardware Specifications
The device also comes with all-new hardware, including a 144Hz display, but it is still a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a FullHD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The faster refresh rate, however, should help the monitor offer smoother gameplay with shorter frame-rendering and input delay.

The laptop also gets an 8th-gen Core i7+ CPU, which is an upgrade over the previous model. The GPU, however, is the same GTX 1060 card. The new Helios 300 Special Edition also comes with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Pricing and Availability
The white and gold special edition will only be available till September 2018, and will go on sale soon, starting at $1870 in the US.
Predator Helios 300 and 500
The Helios 300 is one of Acer’s most popular gaming laptop, so they’re making a special edition to celebrate. The new White and Gold Special Edition has a white-and-gold chassis and features a 144Hz display, an eighth-gen Core i7+ processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. Acer will also have a headset, mouse and backpack in a matching white-and-gold color scheme.
The Helios 500 is a 17.3-inch beast with a new hexa-core Core i9-8950HK with Intel Optane memory and overclocking along with an 8GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070. The display features a 144Hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync. Keeping it all cool and helping to prevent throttling is the company’s dual Aeroblade 3D fans with 39 blades a piece.
